About Me
Lisa S. Block
MS, LCPC, NCC, CAGCS, CFRC
As a mental health therapist and former journalist, I believe we all have stories to tell. It has been my life's passion to listen to others, build connections, and provide guidance and support. Beginning therapy can seem daunting, however, I am here to partner with you on this journey.
Within the counseling relationship, I feel privileged to work with health care providers, first responders, veterans, survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, teens and adults of all ages. I assist clients dealing with depression, family concerns, ADHD, life transitions, and self-esteem struggles. I encourage understanding of difficult experiences and in overcoming challenges.
Using a holistic approach, I provide psychoeducation about the mind-body connection and teach healthy coping strategies to better handle life's stressors. I have a supportive, warm, and collaborative communication style and use a strengths-based treatment approach. I promote building stronger relationships through mutual understanding and by improving overall stress management.
I believe that having someone listen, acknowledge and validate your experience can be empowering and restorative. Telling your unique story can help build resilience to commit to a brighter future. Let's make the next chapter of your story more joyful, peaceful, and balanced - for you to live the life you aspire to and deserve.
Thank you for joining me on the journey into counseling. I look forward to hearing your story and working together!
